Featherstone Rovers full-back Ian Hardman’s testimonial fund will be boosted by proceeds from a race night in the Cappers Bar on Thursday, December 1.

It will take place immediately after a fans forum (7pm start) at which club chairman Mark Campbell will give updates on the latest developments, both on and off the field.

The race night will include the auction of a 2016 signed England RL Four Nations shirt.

It is the latest event in a 12-month testimonial which the RFL granted Hardman for services to rugby league.

The benefit year was launched by a highly successful dinner in July.

A special brochure is being produced for Hardman’s testimonial match at Big Fellas Stadium on Sunday, January 15.

Rovers fans are being invited to send in brief thoughts and memories about Hardman to be included in the brochure. There will be a £5 charge for each submission included, with all the money raised going to Hardman’s testimonial fund.

Submissions should be e-mailed to Stephanie Overton at and a copy to programme editor Chris Heinitz at

The deadline for submissions is the end of this month.

Former St Helens, Hull KR and Widnes player Hardman has scored 114 tries in 236 first-team appearances for Featherstone since he joined them in 2009.
