Featherstone’s 28-year-old utility player Andy Bostock has signed a new one-year contract for next season.
The former Thornhill Trojans centre or prop, who joined Rovers from Dewsbury Rams, has been in outstanding form this year, often making a big impact from the bench.
Bostock said: “I’m thrilled to have committed my immediate future to Featherstone. I have been pleased with my form and hope to play an important part in the business end of the season and hopefully lift some silverware. 2014 is an important year for Featherstone Rovers and I am looking forward to working with new head coach John Bastian.”
Rovers chief executive Craig Poskitt said: “It’s great news that Andy will be part of the 2014 squad we are building. Andy has been one of our stand out players in 2013 with some impressive displays. Our squad is taking shape nicely and we will be making further announcements on players extending their contracts with club at our crucial game against Batley on Sunday. The success of Featherstone Rovers means our players are constantly under the microscope from other clubs. We are pleased Andy decided to continue with us and enjoy some exciting times ahead.”
