Featherstone’s injury problems increased in Monday’s Kingstone Press Championship game at London Broncos.

Already without Matty Wildie, Anthony Thackeray, Michael Channing and Steve Snitch, Rovers had Kyle Briggs, Colton Roche and John Davies injured in a 20-12 defeat at West Ealing.

Briggs (ankle ligaments) and Roche (ankle strain) will both be sidelined for between four and six weeks.

Rovers coach Jon Sharp said: “This is the worst injury crisis I’ve known because every injury we pick up is a really serious one.

“They are long-term injuries to the ball players.

“We’ve lost our start up number nine for the year with Wildie’s cruciate injury and now we’ve lost our numbers six and seven (Briggs and Thackeray) for six weeks.”

Sharp hopes Davies will be fit to face Halifax in Sunday’s game at Big Fellas Stadium after he sustained a head injury at London but Snitch is still sidelined with knee trouble.
