HALF-back Kyle Briggs (pictured) has rejoined Featherstone Rovers from Bradford Bulls on a one-year loan deal.
It is a timely boost for Championship winners Rovers after the recent departure of close-season signing Danny Grimshaw.
Stand-off Grimshaw has left Featherstone because of work commitments without playing a competitive match.
Rovers coach Daryl Powell said: "I am delighted we have been able to re sign Kyle for the full season. After the loss of Danny Grimshaw I felt we needed to act quickly to maintain our plans for the way we wanted to play. I now believe we are even stronger and the bonus is that Kyle knows how we play and of course knows all the players too. We all know of Kyle's ability and I am looking forward to working with him again."
Rovers chairman Mark Campbell has thanked Super League club Bradford for agreeing to the deal.
Campbell said: "Bradford's Peter Hood and Mick Potter were really helpful in making this happen and I’d like to put my thanks on record.
"Having Kyle back is a real boost for us. Everyone knows what a class act he is, and what a good team member he was at Rovers before leaving us. The added bonus is that Kyle solves the problems created by Danny Grimshaw’s departure at a stroke.
"Kyle knows what our standards, systems, and structures are and we all know how capable he is of working superbly within them.
Featherstone's pre-season match against Oldham which was postponed today has been re-arranged for next Friday evening.
