Dom Dee hits right note in Featherstone’s win

YOUNG prop Dom Dee gave a storming display as Featherstone Rovers beat Oldham 36-10 at Bigfellas Stadium on Saturday evening.

Dee, a close-season signing from Hull KR, scored two of Featherstone’s six tries as they recorded their third pre-season victory by adapting much better to the windy conditions than Oldham.

Rovers, fielding mainly a reserves side, led 18-10 at half-time and added 18 unanswered second-half points.

Tom Carr converted all six tries and Tom Hemingway, who is on a month’s trial, impressed with his kicking game.

Featherstone’s other try scorers were Mufaro Mvududu (pictured), Jonny Grayson, Nat Browne and Liam Welham.

Last season’s losing Championship One Grand Finalists Oldham were foiled by Featherstone’s excellent scrambling defence especially in the first-half.
