Featherstone Rovers utility player Will Milner has joined League One club Keighley Cougars on loan until the end of the season.
The terms of the agreement allow Rovers to recall him with 24 hours notice after the first 28 days.
Milner, 21, has made 22 first-team appearances for Rovers, including six this season.
He played in Featherstone’s 36-4 win over London Broncos in last season’s Championship Shield final.
His last Rovers appearance was in the 30-24 home defeat against Leigh Centurions in April when he sustained an ankle injury which sidelined him.
Milner said on his arrival at Keighley: “I’m delighted to come down here on loan. I’ve played here a few times in the past including ealier this season with the Featherstone reserves.
“I have a couple of mates who already play here, such as Adam Brook and a few in the reserves side also, so I’m looking forward to getting started and hopefully getting a few games.
“I’m quite a versatile player. My preferred position is stand-off but I’m quite a big lad and can play in the centres and the back-row if needed too but I don’t mind playing anywhere Paul March (Keighley coach) needs me to.
“I have massive experience already by playing around some of the boys over at Featherstone, most of whom have played in the Super League, which I learnt a lot from.
“But, I’m now at a stage in my own career where I need regular game time and Keighley have given me that opportunity so I’m ready to get going.”
