Featherstone Rovers chairman Mark Campbell has issued a rallying cry to the club’s supporters ahead of Sunday’s game at home to London Broncos (kick-off 3pm).
Rovers currently sit third in the Betfred Championship table and host fourth-placed Broncos at the LD Nutrition Stadium in their final home game of the regular season.
With only one point splitting the two teams, Campbell has labelled Sunday’s crucial fixture the “most important game of the season.”
He said: “I am proud of the players for putting us in this position. To be sat in third place ahead of our penultimate fixture is a massive achievement, but they know the work isn’t done yet.
“We have two matches against full-time teams remaining and this one against our direct rivals is our most important game of the season.
“We need to make home advantage count. In those dying moments when they’re relying on being a full-time outfit, our lads need to have thousands of fans cheering them on to victory.
“That’s why I’m calling on anyone with an affiliation to the Rovers to fill the stadium on Sunday.
“A place in the Qualifiers would be massive for the club and the area. The players have given us a fantastic opportunity to achieve that and now Featherstone is calling on the fans to help them secure it.”
