Featherstone Rovers’ route to the Betfred Championship Shield Final has been revealed with the publication of the next set of fixtures.

John Duffy’s men host Batley Bulldogs at the LD Nutrition Stadium in their first match of the competition, on Sunday, August 12 (kick-off 3pm).

Featherstone take a substantial advantage into their Championship Shield Super 8s campaign, as points from the regular season carry over, meaning they start the competition as the top ranked team.

If Featherstone maintain this position then they will be granted home advantage in the final.

Due to the dominance of the Betfred Championship’s top six clubs, Featherstone are already guaranteed a place in the final, but Leigh Centurions are also capable of hosting the event.

The two teams enter the competition level on points, which means points difference could be a crucial factor in deciding where the final is held. The two sides will face each other at the LD Nutrition Stadium on September 2 (kick-off 3pm).

Sunday, Aug 12 Batley Bulldogs The LD Nutrition Stadium (Home) 3pm
