THE LD Nutrition Stadium will host a unique double header on Sunday with the Rovers’ men’s and women’s teams in action on Armed Forces Weekend.
From 3pm, it will be Featherstone Rovers doing battle with Rochdale Hornets in round 19 of the Betfred Championship.
And just minutes after the full-time whistle, Women’s Challenge Cup action between Featherstone and Wigan Warriors will get under way!
To mark the occasion, the club is offering free tickets to former and current servicemen and women.
These complimentary tickets must be claimed before 2pm on Saturday and relevant identification must be displayed when doing so.
The round 19 Betfred Championship contest promises to be an exciting affair as Featherstone go in search of another vital victory, with the race for the division’s top four hotting up.
A club spokesperson said: “We are delighted to be celebrating Armed Forces Weekend by offering complimentary tickets to those who have and continue to serve this country in order to ensure we can keep living our lives in peace.
“The business end of the season has begun and we are battling hard to seal a spot in the top four, allowing us to take up our place alongside three other Championship sides and four teams from the top flight.
“This is a great period for our supporters to get behind us and we hope to see a healthy crowd turn out in force to watch the boys take on Rochdale at the start of next month.”
Tickets for the game are available now and can be bought online from the club website. If you are a current or former member of the Armed Forces, call 01977 781672 or visit the Rovers store to book your place at Sunday’s match.
