FEATHERSTONE Rovers utility player Anthony Thackeray could face a lengthy lay-off after being injured in yesterday’s 38-30 win at Leigh Centurions in the Betfred Championship.

Thackeray, playing at centre, was taken off after 10 miunutes at Leigh Sports Village with an elbow injury.

Rovers coach John Duffy said: “It looks bad at the minute. His elbow was still dislocated at half-time so we are not having any luck with our centres but hopefully we will have Misi Taulapapa back next week.

“We will look after Anthony who is looking a bit long termish at the minute but hopefully we’ll get some good news.”
