LEIGH Centurions have emulated Featherstone Rovers’ scheme of offering season ticket holders of all Super League, Championship, and Championship One clubs discounted admission to their home games.

In a similar deal to Featherstone’s, Leigh have announced that season ticket holders, on production of their 2012 season ticket at the ticket office, will be able to purchase an adult ticket for £10, (normal match day price £16 and £18) or a concession ticket for £6 (normal match day price £8 and £9). Season ticket holders will also be able to bring a child free.

Rovers commercial manager Paul Taylor said: “We had some excellent feedback last weekend from Batley Bulldogs supporters and it’s great news that Leigh Centurions have followed suit with the initiative.

“Rovers and Leigh Centurions hope more clubs replicate the idea which will ultimately benefit supporters of all clubs. We hope that Leigh supporters take advantage of the deal at next Thursday’s match at Featherstone and also Batley Bulldogs supporters for the second consecutive week.”

Leigh Centurions chief executive Trevor Barton MBE said: “We are always looking at ways to improve match attendances and at the same time attract new supporters to Leigh Centurions and the game of rugby League.

“We believe that this initiative will benefit the club and supporters attending away matches and will hopefully reintroduce those supporters who over the years have explored alternative teams, particularly within Super League and for whatever reason they cannot travel to away games with their team.

“Leigh Centurions offers brilliant facilities and atmosphere at the LSV located in the heart of the northwest and we would be delighted to showcase our full capabilities to them.”
