FEATHERSTONE Rovers recorded their second successive pre-season win by scoring three late tries in Sunday's 20-12 victory over Super League Hull Kingston Rovers.

Featherstone were eight points down with 15 minutes remaining but turned the game round with touchdowns from Tommy Saxton, Danny Grimshaw and Jack Bussey, plus Tom Carr's second goal.

Debutant Samoan centre Tangi Ropati scored a 12th minute try to give Featherstone a 4-0 interval lead.

Hull KR, in their first match under new Australian coach Craig Sandercock, hit back with two converted tries in six minutes in the second-half to go 12-4 up but Featherstone showed great character to get the edge in the closing stages in a match watched by 1,823 spectators.
