Lamont Bryan is set to be recalled for Featherstone’s Championship game against Hunslet Hawks at Big Fellas Stadium on Sunday.

Second-rower Bryan (pictured) was left out of the team that beat Barrow last weekend but is expected to return against the Hawks as coach Daryl Powell makes changes to the back row.

Matty Dale and Jack Bussey could be rested this weekend after they both sustained shoulder injuries against Barrow.

“Matty Dale has had a couple of stingers on his shoulder and Jack Bussey got a similar injury and he looked pretty sore after Sunday’s game,” said Powell.

“We’ll check on everyone as we go through the week but potentially there could be a couple of changes in the back row and I’ll probably rest blokes who have taken a couple of knocks.

“I left Lamont Bryan out last Sunday. There were a couple of things in his game that I wanted him to improve and he’s responded in a really good way and I expect him to respond the next time he gets on the field.”

Powell added that Andy Kain should be okay to face Hunslet after he sustained a dead leg against Barrow.
