Linpac extend Rovers shirt sponsorship deal

Linpac Packaging have extended their partnership with Featherstone Rovers for a further 12 months .

They will be the main shirt sponsor in 2015 on both the home and away playing shirt as well as replicas.

They first appeared on the Featherstone Rovers shirt in 1981-1982 in the first ever shirt sponsorship deal in Rugby League and were the main sponsor of the club until 1989.

Linpac returned as a commercial partner in 2013 and appeared on the shorts before becoming main shirt sponsor this season.

The company employ more than 300 at their Featherstone site. The deal with Rovers includes tickets for Linpac employees, pitch side perimeter advertising and hospitality.

Rovers commercial manager Paul Taylor said “It is a great boost to able to announce that Linpac Packaging have continued their commitment  to Rovers for a further year.

“We were extremely proud to see the return of the Linpac brand on the front of the Featherstone Rovers shirt this season as it was one of the iconic commercial deals in the history of sport in the UK. I am sure supporters and the town of Featherstone will be equally proud to see one of the major employers in the town and a cornerstone of the local economy continuing their partnership with the club.

“ They are a global brand and it is a great endorsement to the work that everyone is doing at the club and what we are trying to achieve.
