Sean Long is looking forward to his first match as Featherstone’s new football manager in tomorrow’s (Sunday) Kingstone Press Championship clash against Workington at Derwent Park.
“I am really pleased this opportunity has come up at Featherstone ,” said the 36-year-old former St Helens, Hull, Wigan and Widnes half-back.
“I’m not going to change too much. I’m just going to simplify things a little bit.
“Everybody in Super League and the Championship are putting on the same moves - it’s just how you execute them.
“I will be doing a lot of hands on and also studying a lot of video footage on how we are going to break down defences.
“Anything I help with in the last six games of the season and the play-offs that’s what I am here to do.
“I watched Featherstone at Swinton last Sunday and I know a few of the players.”
