FEATHERSTONE Rovers are organising a fantasy RL competition for this year’s Super League season to raise funds for the club’s scholarship and academy.

Rovers scholarship manager Robin Sharp (pictured) said “This is a great way of helping and supporting the young lads coming through our youth system.

“I am appealing to all Featherstone Rovers supporters and RL fans in general to join this initiative. It’s a fun way of helping our youth development for only £1 a week and there is chance to win a significant prize. You will be pitting your wits against the Featherstone Rovers first team squad so it will be interesting to see how they get on.”

Anyone wanting the join the competition will need to register on-line at

Mr Sharp will be the administrator throughout the campaign. Payments can be made by cash or by cheque made payable to Featherstone Rovers Scholarship Scheme.

Half of the proceeds will go the Rovers scholarship and academy scheme and the other half to the competition winners at the end of the regular Super League season.

There will be prizes for the top five and there may even be a prize for the wooden spoon.
