Featherstone Rovers Supporters Club will hold their player of the month awards for May and June in the Cappers Bar this evening (Thursday).
Doors open at 7pm when the first-half of the Sunday’s 24-20 win at Halifax will be shown on the large TV screens.
During the interval, Rovers chairman Mark Campbell will be on hand to give fans an update on off the field matters.
He will outline the progress being made regarding the development of land at Big Fellas Stadium and the potential income it could generate for the club.
Coach Jon Sharp will give his thoughts on this Sunday’s crucial home game against Bradford Bulls.
Ian Jefferson will host the evening which will conclude with a showing of the second-half of the Halifax game.
Admission is free.
There will be a raffle to raise funds for the club and Rovers Foundation.
Tomorrow (Friday), the Cappers Bar will host an evening with former New Zealand star Brendon Tuuta who made 177 appearances in two spells with Rovers. Admission will be £5 which will include pie and peas.
Rovers chief executive Pat Cluskey said: “We’ll show some old match footage involving Brendon and he will be on stage and will be interveiwed about his career at Featherstone.
“We have some of his former teammates coming along as well.”
