Rovers fans are praised

FEATHERSTONE fans have been praised for their “exemplary behaviour” at Sunday’s thrilling Northern Rail Cup game against Halifax at the Shay which Rovers won 34-32 in the dying seconds.

Around 500 Rovers fans were seated in the Skircoat Stand and a further 100 in the East Stand.

Featherstone chairman Mark Campbell (pictured) said: “Featherstone fans always travel in good numbers wherever we play and the turnout at Halifax on Sunday was no surprise.

“The behaviour of the fans during a dramatic game was exemplary and all fans were a credit to the club.”
