Rovers get off mark with six-try victory

FEATHERSTONE Rovers achieved their first Co-operative Championship win of the new campaign with a comfortable 36-6 success over Batley at Bigfellas Stadium on Sunday.

Man of the match Liam Finn led the way. He scored two tries and kicked six goals for a personal haul of 20 points.

Featherstone’s other try scorers were Stuart Dickens, Bryn Powell, Andy Bostock and Tommy Saxton.

Gareth Moore scored Batley’s points five minutes from time when he converted his own try.
