Featherstone Rovers are close to being back to full strength for Sunday’s vital Kingstone Press Championship game against top-four rivals London Broncos at Big Fellas Stadium.
There were no injury worries from last Saturday’s 44-22 win at Whitehaven when Kyle Briggs, Danny Craven, Colton Roche, Tim Spears and Andy Ellis all returned to action.
Half-back Briggs made a surprise comeback on the bench after damaging ankle ligaments in the Easter Monday league game at London Broncos.
“It was a miraculous recovery because Kyle was supposed to be three or four weeks away,” said Rovers coach Jon Sharp.
“He is a really tough bloke and he got through 30 minutes at Whitehaven okay.”
Michael Channing, Scott Turner, Sam Day, Will Milner, Steve Snitch and long-term casualty Matty Wildie are the only Rovers players currently sidelined.
Snitch’s knee flared up after his first appearance of the season at Oldham.
Sharp said: “Milner is about two to three weeks away, Channing two weeks, Turner probably three and Day three to four. Day has pins in a broken finger and that will take a while to heal.”
