Leigh coach Paul Rowley revealed after their 40-26 Championship play-off defeat at Featherstone on Sunday that the Centurions have signed Rovers prop Sam Barlow for next season.
Barlow joined Featherstone in July on loan from Halifax for the remainder of this season.
The 24-year-old is now on his way to Leigh on a permanent basis despite having 12 months to run on his current Halifax contract.
Rowley said: “We won’t have to face one of Featherstone’s better players Sam Barlow next year. He will be red and white.
“Sam is contracted to us for next year so it’s a positive for us.”
