Rovers storm through to final with 10-try win

FEATHERSTONE Rovers will play Sheffield or Halifax in the Northern Rail Cup final at Blackpool on July 29 after hammering cup holders Leigh Centurions 54-16 at Bigfellas Stadium tonight.

Centre Sam Smeaton (pictured) scored four tries and wingers Tommy Saxton and Jack Briscoe each collected two touchdowns as Rovers showed their class in an impressive 10-try display.

Liam Finn piled up 18 points with a try and seven goals and skipper Stuart Dickens also scored as Championship leaders Rovers cut loose.

Featherstone again defended excellently, with full-back Ian Hardman giving an outstanding display.
