Featherstone Rovers have reportedly received a winding up petition from the taxman but the club say the arrears will be paid off this week.
A petition to wind up the club was presented on October 28 by HM Revenue and Customs.
Rovers chief executive Pat Cluskey said today: “Basically, it’s regards to some money that was due in October and the final payment will be made this Thursday.
“It relates to money from October so it’s not long-standing or relating to money from years gone by.
“We have made two payments and the third payment will be made on Thursday.”
