Rovers win Euro title

MAN of the match Andy Kain scored two tries and his half-back partner Liam Finn kicked eight goals in Featherstone's 48-22 win over Pia in the Anglo French Challenge match at Bigfellas Stadium on Sunday.

Rovers were presented with European Club Champions Cup after a scintillating first-half display saw them build a 42-0 lead.

French table-toppers Pia fought back in the second period to reduce the arrears to 20 points before Champioinship winners Rovers completed the scoring in the final minute with winger Jack Briscoe's second touchdown.

Featherstone's other try scorers were Tim Spears, Jon Grayshon, Greg Worthington and Jonny Hepworth.

Finn finished with eight conversions from eight kicks including several from the touchline.

Pia's try scorers included former Rovers half-back Maxime Greseque who was the French side's outstanding player.
