John Murphy, managing director of Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire said: “Taylor Wimpey is thrilled to be working with Featherstone Rovers.
“Not only is the club extremely successful having finished top of the Kingstone Press Championship for four years running it is built on a strong, proud heritage and does fantastic work with the Wakefield community through its excellent foundation.
“As a proud, locally based business, Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire is passionate about sport. Way beyond simply seeing our logo on the Rovers shirt, however, we want to work with the club and reach out to the network of schools and youngsters it works with and we cannot wait to get the partnership under way.”
Rovers chief executive Craig Poskitt said: “Featherstone Rovers is delighted to be partnering with Taylor Wimpey. As a high profile company with a significant presence across Yorkshire, the association will help us build the Featherstone Rovers brand as we step up our bid to enter the Super League in 2015.
“We cannot wait to get started on what we are sure will be a very proactive partnership.”
Rovers commercial manager Paul Taylor said: “We are proud to be associated with Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire who join an already strong portfolio of commercial partners and sponsors.
“It is fantastic that a company of the stature of Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire not only recognises our success on the field but also the great work we do in the community.”
