Young hooker Luke Teasdale is set to make his Featherstone Rovers first-team debut in tomorrow’s (Sunday) Kingstone Press Championship game against Swinton Lions at Big Fellas Stadium.

Teasdale is in the squad for tomorrow’s game because Rovers are without Andy Ellis and George Flanagan.

Rovers coach John Bastian said: “Unfortunately Andy Ellis is still recovering from a virus and is not 100 pere cent, so for his health and wellbeing is still not available for selection.

“George Flanagan is also struggling with a knock but this presents a fantastic opportunity for Luke Teasdale to make his Featherstone Rovers debut.

“I know Luke was a member of a match day squad season and I am sure he will grasp this chance with both hands. Making your professional debut is always a memorable occasion and I’m sure everyone will give him their full support.”

Featherstone’s squad to face Swinton is Hardman, Mendeika, Sharp, Uaisele, Worthington, Hellewell, Briggs, Moore, Kain, Teasdale, Crossley, Hirst, Bostock, Bennion, Dale, Roche, James, Dale, Lockwood, Spears and Cording.
