FOLLOWING a record-breaking attendance of 16,444 in 2017, Rugby League’s Bank Holiday Festival, the Summer Bash, returns to Blackpool on May 26 and 27 – and you could be there to see all the action if you win an Express competition.
This year’s Summer Bash at the Bloomfield Road ground boasts six exciting fixtures in the Championship, including a Blackpool debut for Toronto Wolfpack in a huge clash against Leigh Centurions.
Summer Bash is a great weekend with entertainment both on and off the pitch, live performances, fan interaction and great prizes on offer throughout. With tickets from £25 for adults and £12.50 concessions, the event promises to be great value for all the family.
Local interest centres on Featherstone Rovers who are in action on day one when they face Halifax on the Saturday in a game kicking off at 5.15pm.
It promises to be an exciting encounter between two old rivals who have met on some big occasions in recent years.
Other games on the Saturday see Barrow Raiders up against Sheffield Eagles (3pm) and the Toronto-Leigh match, which kicks off at 7.30pm.
Sunday sees top four contenders Toulouse and London Broncos doing battle from 1pm. Rochdale Hornets and Swinton Lions clash at 3.15pm and to round things off there is a local derby between Dewsbury Rams and Batley Bulldogs at 5.30pm.
