Fryston aim to lift fifth trophy this season

FRYSTON Warriors face Hunslet Club Parkside in the BARLA National Cup final at Featherstone’s LD Nutrition Stadium tomorrow (Sunday).

In the semi-finals, Fryston beat cup holders Thornhill Trojans 24-8 and Hunslet Club Parkside defeated Orrell St James 28-8.

Fryston, who were pipped by Myton Warriors in last year’s semi-finals, are now aiming to lift their fifth trophy this season after reaching the National Cup final for the first time for six years.

They have already won the Pennine League championship and President’s Cup, the Yorkshire Cup and Castleford and Featherstone ARL David Poulter Open Cup.

The action tomorrow gets underway at 2pm, with gates opening at noon.

Admission is £5 adults and £3 concessions, with free admission for under 16s.
