Lock Lane share spoils in opener

Lock Lane drew 24-24 at East Leeds in their opening National Conference League Premier Division match of the season.

Aaron Dobek converted his own try and his half-back partner Nathan Fozzard kicked two goals.

Lane’s other try scorers were their man of the match Craig Jeffels, Mikey Hayward and James Cryer.

Lane host Egremont Rangers in their first home league match this Saturday (2pm kick-off).

In Division Two, Castleford Panthers lost 36-18 at Stanley Rangers after the teams were locked at 12-12 at half-time.

The Panthers try scorers were man of the match Jordan Holder, Nathan Campsill and Callum Butler who also kicked three goals.

Panthers will aim to collect their first points when they host Askam this Saturday (2.30pm).
