Kellingley showed excellent skill in attack and defended solidly.

A top-notch team effort earned all the players the supporters MOM award.

Full-back Seth Emery put Wolves on their way when he received the ball out wide and went in for a try that Dylan Garbett goaled.

Opposition coach’s MOM Billy Wilson scored with a spectacular run which started in his own half.

Further tries came from Franki Jackson Bedford, who won the man of steel prize, and Bradley Bullock who picked up the coaches MOM award.

Matthew Alderson, Josh Afford, Lennon Brown all ran strongly and Brandon Wilson and Zac Simpson showed clever footwork.

Wolves tackled very solidly to survive two sets on the own try line.

Eden Barrass and Charlie Temple made crunching tackles. Ryan Afford was always prominent and won the 100 per cent effort award.

Finley Greenwood was one of the smallest players on the pitch but he showed size was not a problem as he held Farnley back on several occasions.

Lock Lane under sevens, sponsored by MLP Security Training School, Oldroyd Flooring and Sunnyside Travel Luxury minibus, gave a tremendous display in their opening fixture at Featherstone Lions.

Lane’s youngsters scored numerous tries and had lots of fun.

Charlie England, Noah Worth, Chipper Bramley, Cameron Smith, Oli Hayward, Zack Lee, Cooper Dunning and Billy Brooks all impressed in both attack and defence. Most of them scored great tries.

Tommy Watts, Jacob Huby and Jaxon Kesick all led from the front as captains and each of them scored plenty of tries.

Opposition coach’s man of the match award winners Blake Beedle and Zack Singer were both in awesome form throughout.

They both bagged superb tries and put in big hits in a thoroughly entertaining derby fixture that was a great advert for junior rugby league in the area.
