SEVERAL Castleford Tigers stars are set for international action this weekend with games for England Knights, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
Daryl Clark (pictured) is in line to make his debut for the England team, having been included in a 19-man Knights squad to compete in the Alitalia European Cup against Scotland and Ireland.
The 19-year-old academy product faces competition from Hull’s Danny Houghton and Huddersfield’s Shaun Lunt for a place in the final 17-man team, but is expected to get some on field action during the tournament.
The Knights squad also includes former Tigers full-back Greg Eden, who along with Clark came through the junior system at Castleford Lock Lane, and they face Ireland at the Belfast Harlequins ground on Friday night (kick-off 7.30pm).
Ireland kicked off their European Cup campaign with a 30-18 win over Scotland last weekend when their captain, Featherstone Rovers star Liam Finn, landed five goals.
Cas prop Jonathan Walker made his Scotland debut in the game when he came on as a substitute along with his twin brother Adam, who plays for Huddersfield. Scotland also included outgoing Castleford prop Paul Jackson, who has joined Whitehaven for next season.
The autumn international series involving England, Wales and France kicks off this weekend with the French taking on the Welsh at Lens on Saturday.
The Wales line-up could includes two Cas players with Jake Emmitt and Daniel Fleming both included in their train-on squad for the autumn triangular series.
