Wakefield Wildcats: Frankie Mariano joins Featherstone Rovers on loan
The 26-year-old has featured six times for Wakefield in 2013, the latest at the weekend in the 66-6 Tetley’s Challenge Cup victory over Hemel Stags.
But head coach Richard Agar has allowed the former Hull KR man to move to the Kingstone Press Championship side and Rovers head coach Daryl Powell is delighted to get his man.

“He is a big, physical player who can play in a number of positions with equal effectiveness. His ability to break the line will be a great addition to the squad at the current time and I look forward to welcoming him to Featherstone Rovers.”
Mariano said: “I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates and working under Daryl Powell who I believe is an excellent coach. Featherstone Rovers already have a strong squad I am hoping that I can bring further quality and experience to the side.”
Mariano could feature for Featherstone for the first time against Halifax on Sunday.
