STREETHOUSE 2nds beat Pontefract and District Cricket League Division Three leaders Thurnscoe Institute by three wickets in Saturday’s top of the table clash at Whinney Lane.
It put second-placed Streethouse 14 points behind Thurnscoe with four matches remaining.
Streethouse recovered from 26-2 to finish on 197-7 thanks to Steve Goodwin (56no), Craig Bryant (35), Michael Tucker (30) and Stuart Camm (26).
Camm (4-52) and Geoff Hunt (4-28) limited Thurnscoe’s reply to 145-9.
Hundhill Hall won by five wickets at Bentley Colliery who were sent collapsing from 20-1 to 40 all out by Reece Johnson (3-24) and Jed Wilkinson (3-10).

Ackworth regained top spot in Division Four when their opponents Frickley Colliery conceded.

Hart (68), Neal Patel (64) and Richard Wood (36) supplied the bulk of Ferrybridge’s total of 226-7.
Hart then claimed 9-21 off 12.3 overs to topple Sykehouse for 71.

Welfare lost their first four batsmen cheaply but recovered to finish on 130 after David Scurfield (34) and Lee Perks (31) led the fightback.
