Top darts players battle it out at Glasshoughton

Yorkshire play their home matches at the Leeds Road club and this Saturday and Sunday they take on Cheshire in the inter county Premier League. Admission is £4 which covers both days, with matches geting underway at 11.30am.

Tony O’ Shea and Stuart Kellett will be in Cheshire’s team while Yorkshire’s line-up includes BDO world darts champion Scott Waites and fellow England internationals Garry Thompson, Martin Atkins, John Walton and Brian Dawson.

Yorkshire ladies are captained by England international Lorraine Winstanley.

Yorkshire ladies B team includes 12-year-old Doncaster player Beau Greaves who was recently selected for England’s youth team.

Yorkshire men’s A team are top of the Premier league and the B team are second in their league.

The county’s two ladies teams are top of their respective leagues.

Yorkshire’s squad features 24 men and 12 ladies, divided into two teams, plus reserves.

The B team will play on Saturday and the A team on Sunday.
