Band chairman and baritone player, Roger Hine, says: “This is a very difficult year for the band as all our engagements have disappeared because of the emergency and we still have all our standing costs to meet such as the rent for our rehearsal space, storage facilities and our insurance.

"On top of that, once we can get back to rehearsals we’ll have the added expense of making sure our bandroom is safe.

“We have no sponsorship deals, unlike many of the bands in the top flight, so we are entirely self-financing.

"The band is very much community-focussed and we need help so that we can continue our proud tradition of involvement in local events and organisations.

“That’s why we hope as many people as possible will visit the web appeal where they can see videos of the band, live in concert and perhaps claim one of our CDs in return for a donation.”

Crofton Silver Band are offering rewards in exchange for donations, including copies of their CD, advertising for businesses and more.
