First acts announced for this year's postponed Long Division Festival
The first acts have been announced for this year's postponed Long Division Festival.
And a date has finally been set for the long-awaited event with tickets now on sale.
Confirmed acts include The Lovely Eggs, She Drew the Gun, and Brix & the Extricated.
The announcements follow several postponements and cancellations forced on organisers by the pandemic.
A spokesman for the festival said: “After 26 months of waiting we’ll finally be bringing Long Division Festival back to Wakefield.
“Tickets are available now online. So, if you feel like joining us this year, you know what to do.”
On the day artists will perform from noon until around midnight across a range of Wakefield city centre venues, which will all be within walking distance.
A £30 ticket earns you a wristband, which will then get you into all the participating venues.
Other artists confirmed include Lanterns on the Lake, Big Joanie, Hands Off Gretel, Peggy Sue, Katie Spencer, and Jodie Nicholson.
The festival added: “Covid-19 is of course very much on our minds.
“We will release details of venues and our preparations closer to the time but be assured that we place audience and artist well being above all else. Refunds will always be available. Join us for our long awaited tenth festival!”
Tickets are available at longdivisionfestival.co.uk/tickets.
Last month the festival posted. a series of online tutorials to help musicians to learn new skills.
