In this special edition, we give our pupils the chance to thank their teachers and other members of staff for all their hard work through lockdown and beyond. Ella-Mae, who attends Airedale Nursery, wanted to thank her teachers for helping her through her time at nursery. Mum Claire said: Thank you Miss Brazel - a teacher like you is like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Freddie Cooper, 4, is in class 1 at Flushdyke Junior and Infant School. He said: Thank you to all of the staff at Flushdyke who have helped to keep school open so that Freddies mummy and daddy can continue to work as keyworkers.

Airedale Infant School nursery student Chester has been working hard through lockdown, with the help of teacher Miss Brazel. He and his parents said: Thank you for making sure Chester could still start his nursery work from home even when he hadnt started yet.

Flanshaw Infant and Junior School pupil Charlie said he had learned lots in his lessons with Mrs Smith. He said: Thank you so much for teaching me this year, you have taught me so much and I have loved being in your class, I will miss you when I go to year 1.
