A spokeswoman for The Co-op said it was "too early to say" when it might start trading at the site and could offer no further details when asked this week.
Members of the public have until July 15 to give their views to the council on whether or not it should grant the store a licence.
The supermarket was heavily criticised by residents and councillors in South Kirkby in 2018 after it tried to get planning permission for converting an old health centre into a supermarket.

It has now, however, submitted a new planning application for the same site.
