People are now able to enjoy meeting friends and family as the rule of six returns for socialising with the government's 'stay at home' rule also lifted.
Outoor sports facilities are also now able to reopen.
How far can I travel?
The 'stay local' rule has replaced the government's "stay at home" guidance, which means that people are not now legally required to have a permitted reason to leave home.
People will instead be advised to stay in their local area.

Hide AdStaying overnight at other households or hotels are still forbidden unless you need accomodation:
*To attend a funeral,
*Need accommodation to attend a medical appointment or receive treatment,
*For work purposes or to provide voluntary services, or attend education

"Are homeless, seeking asylum, a vulnerable person seeking refuge, or if escaping harm (including domestic abuse)

Hide Ad"Are an elite athlete or their support staff or parent provided the athlete is under 18 and it is necessary to be outside of the home in order to take part in training or a competition.
Holidays and international travel are still NOT allowed until April 12 when overnight stays will be allowed and self-catering accomodation will reopen.
The next staged out of lockdown begins on May 17. This will be the earliest date for holidays abroad.
