Boy, 15, attacked with a weapon outside Woodkirk Academy in Leeds

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being attacked outside his school.

He was assaulted outside Woodkirk Academy in Tingley shortly after 3pm on Wednesday.

He had been approached by a man and hit over the head with an unknown object, causing a cut. He was treated in hospital and later released.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
