A man reported to be threatening people with a hammer in Wakefield city centre has been arrested.
Reports were made to the police on Thursday about the man armed with the weapon and officers were quickly deployed.
The man was located in the centre and still had the hammer on him.
He was arrested on suspicion of threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.
