Anti-fracking campaigners have called a meeting on Sunday in Fairburn.

People are invited to find out more about the issue at Fairburn Church Hall, on Silver Street, near Fairburn Ings nature reserve, from 2pm.

Frack Free Leeds has organised the meeting after licences to explore for sites to drill for gas were granted by the government’s Oil and Gas Authority.

Speakers will include Simon Bowens, from Friends of the Earth, and Dr Tim Thornton, who will talk about the possible health effects of fracking.
