Thunderstorm leads to flash flooding in South Elmsall and Pontefract
A thunderstorm has led to flash flooding in parts of the district.
Police said Minsthorpe Lane outside Minsthorpe Community College, in South Elmsall, was flooded.
A spokesman said Yorkshire Water has been made aware and drivers are advised to take extra care.
There are also reports of flooding on Park Road in Pontefract near the railway bridge.
