Castleford’s new multi-million pound bus station will open its doors to passengers for the first time on Sunday.

The new £5.5m Metro facility features a fully-enclosed waiting area, real time information screens, a Metro Travel Centre, retail unit, CCTV coverage throughout and public toilets.

It was formally opened by Coun Peter Box, West Yorkshire Combined Authority chairman, at a ceremony on Monday.
