Wakefield Lit Fest starts today.

The celebration of reading and writing will include workshops, talks and children’s activities at venues across the city over the next 10 days.

And each morning the Express will upload a video of staff from The Orangery, where a lot of events will take place, talking through the highlights for that day.

Here, organiser Fran Smith talks about the opening day.
